Sun: Pleiades

Sun's ever burning flame,
smoulders on horizon,
sunrays kiss morning dew,
shinning white pearly hue,
soothing eyes, heart, mind, soul,
showering warmth, love, care,
soaring the skies high.

Pleiades: 7 line poem with 6 syllables per line. Title is of one word only. First letter of title and every line is the same.

A good new form, good to try! Not too difficult it appears to be. The sun with all its goodness! Great lines Vandana!

the sun is a wonderful companion, sharing that warmth with us...it makes me feel alive when the first rays of spring caress my face....for a small form this was a bit challenging....just got mine done...and looking forward to you hosting...you will do a great job...smiles.

Sometimes brevity leads to strict parameters, but I love the original essence of this form, before the syllable count was added; but this is an amazingly creative debut for you as guest host; welcome aboard, & may we see you there often.

Your words are the perfect accompaniment for the image you chose for your topic, Vandana. Beautiful work and thank you for bringing us such a neat form and hosting, too. :)

Loved this, especially the first two lines and the internal rhyme of 3 & 4. We need more smoldering heat! Nicely done.

I'll be honest I read your poem tonight before I set to work on my own. You set the poetic bar so high that I knew all that was left to do was have fun with the form. Thank you so much for teaching me this fun form.

A lovely poem, though for some readon the typeface was not easy to read. I think my eyes are deranged!

Burning and calm and steady--a paradox explained only by distance--or we would know at once the origin of forest fires. Nicely done.

This is beautiful! And I really like the way the name of the form makes your title look like "Sun Pleads," lending additional meaning to the poem.
