Love’s shadow holding a flower,
came to me from a place
afar,
had a magnificent charm,
feelings were all soft
and warm.
But a gust of snowy
breeze,
tossed it in eternal
freeze.
Love’s shadow holding a
flower,
came to me from a place
afar.

oh we have to be careful to shield love from the cold winds of life...
love's Shadow can't live long...nice personification...
Beautifully executed..! Loved the portrayal of your wisdom in this poem :)
Lots of love

I think it is always nice to be surrounded by the shadow of love in one's life!
Love is like a flower which can bloom for long time but that can change in a instant when the warmth goes from a relationship.
Love's shadow is always in the background. One should be careful not to antagonize it lest it awakens! A short and sweet form. Good form to try, Vandana!
Hank
nice job on the form
I loved the form and oh those icy winds that freeze out love.
Love is like a tender spring flower.. Wonderful thoughts.
love the warmth it holds, despite the freezing grip.
I felt that frigid gust in my face... so sudden. Lovely form for this sentiment.
such a lovely use of the form!

Love's a shadow - it is sometimes a shadow and sometimes it is the light
Your first two lines are strong and work well in the poem as they are repeated. I have not tried this form. Thanks for introducing me to it.
Omg...Such a beautiful piece.Made me hang to the last word, Vandana. 😊
Nicely realised Vandana - pretty much like the brief and perfect flowering you are describing.. A real treat to read - Thank you... With Best Wishes Scott www.scotthastie.com
Hold on. Never let go, don't let the wind take your precious gem :)
Well captured :-)

"Love’s shadow holding a flower" - lovely. And again, your facility with form is superb, Vandana.
Such an uncertain gift, easily blown by the wind! A mere shadow of the real thing ...
Sad when a passing breeze takes love away, sometimes we need to hold onto that flower a little tighter...

I wish you an eternal shadow of love.. Lovely write! :)
Wonderful poem.
"eternal freeze"---oooh....that sends chills, for sure!!
I love the breezy feel of this...very uplifting
Vandana,
A lovely style with which to express this poetic floral experience..Spring and its chilly surprises at times...

So true, but then we need to, at any cost, protect those soft, soothing components from all the prevailing harshness....Awesomely put!
