Star Crossed Lovers

She is the dark deep night,

        searching for her moon,

to glow her soul with his light,

sparkle bright as the golden June.

             The stars in the skies,

            littered all over,

            tears of her unheard cries,

            flowing listlessly for her lover.

She believes that the path across the milky way,

will lead her to a new universe,

                filled with flowers of May,

                and lift her dark curse,

where she will find her love lost.

What a great take on that phrase. Star crossed lovers indeed. I love that she is the dark expansive night. Your images are lush and your journey is cosmic. I really enjoy this.

Beautiful imagery. I like the references made to the months...reminds me of the song by Train, Drops of Jupiter.

A romantic poem, Vandana! I love the image of ‘dark deep night / searching for her moon, / to glow her soul with his light’.

Having been fortunate to have my own dark curse lifted, I hope the same for her.

I would love to find such a path across the starlit sky...

May that path to a new sky be illuminated clearly so that love will be seen when it is found.

I too see the night sky as a romance.

She is deep dark night.. if she finds him, she will not exist. Sometimes what we long for is not what we really need...

....and one is left to ponder the difference between finding her love lost or finding her lost love. Hmmm Let's hope it's the latter.
