In dark black nights,
my heart forever cries,
it hurts me more,
to be far from you.
Wait, wait, wait is all I can do,
wait, wait, wait is all I can do.
When swollen skies rain,
I feel their pain,
my tears fall through them,
rolling down time’s hem.
Wait, wait, wait is all I can do,
wait, wait, wait is all I can do.
In my imagination,
you’re always mine.
We sing songs, flowing around,
and you hold my hand,
take me to your land.
But
Wait, wait, wait is all I can do,
wait, wait, wait is all I can do.
In dark black nights,
my heart forever cries,
it hurts me more,
to be far from you.
An attempt at song writing.

That waiting can be long and agonizing ~ I like the experiment specially the refrain, smiles ~
That longing.. it can be like a tight rope, a bowstring reaching cross the time and space.. but all we do is wait and wait..
Excellent read and wonderful words.
Yvonne.
It iS a song. Words that flow with a melody.
Sometimes all one can do is wait!
This could be a song Vandana :) I love it!
I'd like to add, I did not read the last line there saying when I commented! So indeed your attempt was successful :)
"swollen skies" what a fantastic imagery...the yearning is palpable...
Vandana... the waiting is the hardest... I think it is much to painful, I have stopped waiting... this is very good poem with such beautiful meaning xox
Patience is not always my best virtue,
because waiting can be so painful.
