The Blood Moon

Blood wraps the moon around,
stealing its silvery gown.
Night is crimson-red-violet,
colourful skies hold the starlet.

Moon is dressed,
in coruscating brilliant red.
Night’s glory shines,
as the blood-moon embraces the skies.

Even as ominious and sinister as it can seem,
all that blood. I see her as a lady in a red dress.

Oh I wish I could have seen it... but alas it was too cloudy tonight.

"Moon is dressed, in coruscating brilliant red." I had to look up coruscating (great word!) but Wow! A lovely little sketch.
