Underneath the percolating rain drops in sand, beneath the dew drops rolling down the leaf blades, among the playful waves of roaring oceans, there’s a deep silence, only heard by a heart calm within : Vandana Sharma

Oh I have read about your heatwave.. This seems almost glowing with heat.
Oooh, yes--my sympathies. Great poem.
That's just stunning. And how you've described summer! I've heard it's really really hot in India right now. Stay hydrated!
ouch....typical Indian summer in a clever palindrome......we've had a spell of shower last night bringing down the temperature a bit...
Well said!
Oh, poor you. My body doesn't like heat, and thirst is worse than hunger. I hope it rains soon for you.
Cool palindrome...hope there is a break in the weather!
Whew. Def feel the heat in this one. Being without water is brutal ad you wont survive long. The heat though can be so oppressive without relief.
Yes, the heat ongoing can be tormenting. It is a way of life in Australia.
Your poem captures the extreme heat well.
I wouldn't want to be there in the hot summer ~ Hope it cools down a bit ~
Your palindrome and picture convey the drought's toll. I pray you'll get rain!
I too have read about the heat wave that is sweeping India and hope it soon gets better. Your words powerfully express the harshness of extreme weather.
Small mirror of a huge picture; nice use of the form. One does not need to stagger on & on with stanzas/lines, as I tend to do, to strike a chord, to rock a prompt, to share a message; nice job, & may the cool be with you.
What a terrible thing you are going through in India--I'm in the West of the USA where we are also dealing with drought. It reminds us, really, how little control we have, though we need to assume responsibility for our role in the climate situation. I pray things get better for all of us.
Brief poem but so full of heat - I can just sweat reading it. Excellent use of the palindromic form with reversal of words and lines. Excellent work! Hayes Spencer is Kanzensakura
This was just wonderful, you do write great poetry.
Yvonne.

well done... heatwave isn't so nice tho. I felt the want for rain and water in this. Beautifully written, nonetheless my prayers for some heatwave relief
Apparently it was severe this time given the reports. Very well done on the Palindrome! Vandana. I thought this should the right way with a 'word' palindrome
Hank
A beautiful picture and your palindrome is so clever.

A stunning piece :D you worked the form well :D
A brilliant evocative burst of poetry. I literally feel that burning hot sun on me. Beautiful form. Awesome post.
I love the mirrored phrases. Very nice!
Hope things cool down soon.
