Stepping
on stars,
she
waves her black hair,
and opens her shiny jars.
Descending
down stair,
murmuring
songs in peace,
she
waves her black hair.
With
heaven and earth at ease,
basking
under night’s glory,
murmuring
songs in peace.
Night
moon visualizing this story,
dancing
along warm breeze,
basking
under night’s glory.
Moon
rays shimmering, absorbing freeze,
tripping
on waves,
dancing
along warm breeze.
Night
queen brightens dark caves,
stepping
on stars,
tripping
on waves,
and opens her shiny jars.

I've never heard of a terzanelle format, but I really like it. Nice poem!
This is beautiful Vandana! Never seen it before! It blends very well with the leisurely pace of a peaceful night. Great!

This looks like to write, Vandana, keeping it with the form. I hadn't know of the terzanelle but if I had can remember it I might try sometime. I like the idea of tripping on the waves and stepping on stars. I don't think it would slow down progress much, it sounds delightful.

Wow this is awesome :) never seen this type of poem before, plus I love the whole "stepping on stars" element especially with the photo!
Beautiful imagery. :-)

well done, whew!
You are getting good using all these forms. Think I will trip along with the stars, enjoy your poem, and not try this form.

This is pretty amazing ... a difficult form which you mastered.
This is beautiful Vandana....and nice use of the difficult form....
Perfectly conceived: a fairy tale and this complex form go together beautifully
well penned, Vandana ~
