A fish inside the
aquarium,
looks outside ,with its
eyes spread wide,
chirping birds, glittering
sun,
all having so much fun.
Wishes ,she is out,
out in the sea,
to explore,
frolic,
swim.
A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine
syllables, and each line after that has one less, until the end is reached with
only one syllable.

Sweet little poem, Vandana! We are so used to looking at goldfish from our perspective that we never wonder what they might think looking from the inside of the aquarium.
Just like a bird in a cage...
Lovely and poignant poem.
ah, imagine your world shrunk down to say the size of your bedroom when you were used to the freedom of going anywhere you want...yeah, i would be sad as well...interesting perspective...
Ah yes, I have often wondered what fish think as they look OUT from their confined aquarium. I can well picture them dreaming of the sea.
They are dreaming of the sea :(
I often wonder what fish think, swimming around a bowl.
Hopefully they are happy as long as they can swim.
Interesting thought! People think about a bird in a cage, you thought differently...:)
Excellent example of inside looking out! Thanks for posting this at Poetry Jam!
That is sad. Good perspective and thoughtful.

Liked this onel Caged and confined. Not a nice situation even for a little gold fishl
oh i wish she could find a way back into the sea...into freedom... it's tough to end up in a small glass box and oh how they must miss freedom and the ocean...
Captivity is delightful only for the captor. I do love aquariums, but I feel guilty for the trapped fish. This was a lovely commentary, without being too harsh. Poor fishy! Peace on earth, Amy
The capture of freedom and caged, nicely put together.
Simple yet elegant!
hmmm...something to think about...
Wonder if our fish that we have our thinking the same thing?
Like this point of view...Curiosity helps to understand things...Nice one, Vandana :)
We have a beta fish in a bowl. Our only pet. Sometimes people say it's mean to keep them. But, they never have known the open sea...
oh...so creative and interesting.... :)
Aww, this made me a little sad. The photo is really lovely :)
Love this--and yes, so very creative!
Nice- a simple and up to the point poetry :)
The fish is one better than a bird. While it is an enclosed prisoner, it is still free to swim around. Not too bad! Nice nonet Vandana!
