braved
sea storm and its creatures,
collected
every pearl from its shell.
For only your silhouette in my
heart dwells.
I
still remember those days,
when
we held hands,
splashed
among waves.
But now they are just memories.
That
fateful moment,
we stepped
on demon’s chest,
and
he turned you into a pearl and laid to rest.
Since, then I scavenge sea’s
heart, to find my love.

Your poem is the perfect story for this picture! Now I see her not just holding pearls but bringing them to her heart.
wonderful story for this picture. I wish I could have a few of the pearls she doesn't want.
Love your story :)
nice...rather fairy tale quality...the quest to find the love that turned into the pearl...very cool...you could turn this into a neat short story...
This really is a searching piece, Hope that the one loved is found.
How sad on the ending ~ Words are perfect for the imagery of the mermaid holding on to the pearls ~ Thanks for linking up with Real Toads ~ Happy week ~
Oh, my. THIS:
"I scavenge sea’s heart, to find my love."

Oh this is so sad! Makes my heart ache. Wonderfully written :)
To find love and then to lose love is heartbreaking..
The fairy tale twist of the transforming into a pearl is lovely. :)
This is pure magic. I have always been intrigued by the mystical mermaid. Lovely writing Vandana.
