Love-Hate: Diamente

Love,
Passionate, Romantic,
Respecting, Appreciating, Caring,
Candour, Devotion, Deceit, Enmity
Insulting, Declining, Repelling,
Abhor, Scorn,
Hate.

Diamente : The purpose is to go from the subject at the top of the diamond to another totally different (and sometimes opposite) subject at the bottom. A seven line poem, shaped like a diamond.
Example
Line 1 = 1 NOUN ;Line 2 = 2 ADJECTIVES-;Line 3 = 3 GERUNDS- (verb + -ing) ;Line 4:= 4 NOUNS;Line 5 = 3 GERUNDS-(verb + -ing) ;Line 6:= 2 ADJECTIVES;Line 7 = 1 NOUN

Nice work with the form, and a great choice of words. Love and hate are not so far apart as we might think. Well done!

I really like the way you dealt with the opposites here!

This made me realize that love can quickly turn to hate ~

Solzhenitsyn said that the line between good and evil runs straight through the human heart; the line between love and hate is found in exactly the same place.

From love to hate is just a small twist... and then indifference...(which can be even worse)

They are not so much opposites as opposing sides of the same coin. Their opposite coin is apathy and isolation....so I like the way you flip the coin here - where passion has two faces.

The two sides of love..a thin line...

I think that Candour is the one that turns the tables. One can be too honest in your opinion that perhaps would backfire. Better to say "What do I know about wearing orange? It's just not a man's colour," or something like that.

how quickly love can fall eh?

This poem is painful to read. From the heat of love to the heat of hate...what a progression.

Where there is passion, I think one can easily become the other.

The thin line that many writers tell us is between the two. Here you moved the opposite to most stories. Very nice.

I have often thought the more you loved someone the more you could hate them after. As you demonstrated, one can easily bleed into the other.

Love and hate can sometimes offer a balance to neutralize negativity in the relationship. It may work towards fulfillment for the better! Wonderful new form Vandana!

I always thought of love and hate as two sides of the same coin, now I see they're at opposite sides of a diamond. They are certainly two very strong emotions.

Oh! As I began reading the ideals, I feared the end. Love that giving should never end in hate, but there you have it.

I think it is interesting that you started with love and then progressed to hate. After I read it, I re-read it, backwards, and it took on a completely different meaning. Very interesting, and very thought provoking.
